The unique mixing system that Resodyn has patented is called the ResonantAcoustic Mixing and is capable of mixing combinations of solids, liquids, and gases using high-intensity, low-frequency acoustic energy. These high-tech mixing systems are marketed and sold globally to an expanding list of clients. We are continuously expanding our product lines to meet market demands for processing and other advanced technologies. The design work/scope required by this position encompasses the development of complete product designs and/or individual components.

Expectations:

  • Take responsibility for assigned projects from inception to completion. The successful candidate will generate project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare design specifications, analyses, and make recommendations for presentation to and approval and approval by management.
  • Responsibilities will include electrical/controls design for a broad range of prototype, pre-commercial and new commercial products that are being nurtured in an advanced product development environment, with an emphasis on providing quality products to industrial manufacturing businesses.
  • Qualified candidates shall have a solid technical track record with preference given for experience designing products for manufacture.
  • Resodyn Corporation is developing and commercializing advanced, highly-technical products across a broad range of applications for industry and it is anticipated that the successful candidate will grow and evolve to meet these opportunities. 
  • Strong work ethic and capabilities as a team leader/participant for assigned projects from inception to completion.

Essential Functions:

  • Capability to design and prototype pre-commercial and new and complex commercial products.
  • Develop and complete product designs and/or individual components in partnership with design team, or individually as assigned by management.
  • Participate in the generation of project requirements to resolve product/process problems and to support development of new products/processes, initiate technical investigations, and prepare protocols that are designed to efficiently and effectively execute the proposed efforts.
  • Provide input on electrical and software/firmware system requirements and develop detailed electrical and software/firmware system requirements and design documentation.
  • Develop hardware definitions for new products through point-to-point wiring schematics, electrical/electronic component specification, and electrical equipment fabrication oversight.
  • Generate printed circuit board design for Resodyn-custom electronics. (Preferred)
  • Hands-on troubleshooting skills for installation, commissioning, and startup activities.
  • Provide support for in-house automated product testers and data acquisition projects for product development and testing.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS in Electrical or Controls Engineering, MS a plus (ABET Accredited)
  • Three years of experience in Electrical/Controls Design
  • U.S. Citizen

  • Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming per IEC 61131-3
  • Microsoft C# .NET Application Development
  • Control system installation, commissioning, and startup
  • Motion control systems, including rotary and linear servo motors
  • Three phase power systems
  • Custom control algorithm development and implementation
  • Embedded C programming
  • ARM Cortex M series processor development
  • Understanding of electronic systems at the circuit board level
  • National Instruments Data Acquisition Hardware
  • National Instruments LabVIEW Software
  • National Instruments TestStand Software
